Whew

I am approaching my peak tiredness, people. Not exactly sleepy tiredness, but the kind of tiredness that is due to moving your body all day long.

But, today was a good day. It started off pretty early with David rustling around in the covers and making noise. We decided to do downhill skiing today which meant that we wanted to be up and "at 'em" early enough to justify the ridiculous price of a one-day lift ticket.

Breakfast was had on the mountain after we met up with our friends Anna and Adam.

That was basically an egg burrito, and it was gooooood.

Here is me later, having a food porn-y moment while thinking about that breakfast burrito:

Haha, not really. But seriously, how else can I explain how creepy I look?

Anyway, back to the skiing. I had never skied Keystone before so I was excited to try it. I'm not a great skier by any means, but as a native Coloradoan I've skied more than most and I have to say I did pretty well today--no falls at all! (Despite some crazy mother f-ers who I suspect enjoy cutting it close to other peeps.) We were told that the mountain was icy in spots, and it was, though for the most part it was a nice pillow top of fluffy white snow. And, the sun was out for the entire day and that made us a very happy group of skiers.

Some scenes from the day:

On the way down.

On the way down.

I'm so glad that I don't live in Alabama, or Texas, or Indiana. I'm sure all of those places have great attractions too, but these mountains over here in Colorado sure are special.

After a full day of skiing I am completely beat. David and I said goodbye to our friends this afternoon and drove home, where I promptly made us veggie burgers and camped out on the couch to read trashy celebrity news. What do you guys think--should I feel guilty for reading "articles" from a site where the main story is that Kim Kardashian wore see thru pants (again!)?

*What is special about where you live?
