Double Whammy Decadent Friday

Happy Friday...errrr, almost Saturday! The day just got away from me, peeps--like this banana slug "running" from a coyote?

I forgot to show this to you guys after our trip to San Francisco. I had never seen a banana slug before, have you? Not the prettiest of creatures, but I'm kinda worried that they prolly get stepped on quite a bit.

Anyway...today was pretty uneventful. Bootcamp, lunch:

Followed by work in a coffee shop:

This is the croissant that I used to motivate me to work at all. (Since I can't get croissants if I stay at home and watch old episodes of Lost.) It looks bigger than it was in person. Else how could I possibly fit this in just two hours later when I went to see The Place Beyond the Pines?

Sigh. I didn't eat many of these red vines, but...really? Some days you just don't make the "perfect" nutrition choices, and today was one of those days for me. On a side note, I have such good memories about Red Vines. My Dad loves them, and I remember eating them as a teenager. They were such a nostalgic treat--so much better than Twizzlers, which has the wrong texture and the wrong flavor. Oh well. Luckily Red Vines are fat free. Heh. Since, you know, sugar doesn't have any fat and Red Vines are made _solely_ out of sugar.

And that is all, friends. I hope that you all have a lovely weekend filled more with sugar than with slugs.

*What have you eaten recently that really made you shrug your shoulders and ask "What was I thinking?" It doesn't have to be a "bad" or indulgent treat; god knows there have to be some people out there who don't suffer from disordered eating:-)

  1. I used to love Red Vines! You're right, they were so much better than Twizzlers. We went out for Mexican the other night and I got shrimp enchiladas and was so full I thought I was going to die. Never again!

    1. Glad you agree about Red Vines--that's very important.
Also, I'm very full right now but I've already planned out a time when I will go to Chipolte for a quesadilla:-)
